I felt bad saying all those nice things about Stuart Blackwell a few days ago without acknowledging Len Morrow (affectionately known as “Dr. Potato Head”), who keeps the prayer garden blooming at First Baptist Church, and who shares his love of gardening with children of all ages all over the city. Take a look at this video and see if you don’t agree: when it comes to heaven on earth, Len Morrow knows how to “bring it”!
What a wonderful blessing to have “Dr. Potato Head” working in Richmond, VA and especially with and through FBC ministries! We are so fortunate that he has chosen to use his wonderful talents, knowledge, and caring in this way with children and all of us!
And he brings the Kingdom of Heaven to the “other” nursery by rocking and cuddling the babies in the Bunnies class!
Thanks for the nice words. As a demonstration of the Spirit’s moving, this morning I went to Gloucester to Brent & Becky Heath’s bulb business. After they have a clearance sale the first week in December they give the left-over inventory to non-profits. I came back with crocus, hyacinth, daffodils and tulips — several hundred dollars worth — which will be planted in the FBC Children’s garden, Greater Richmond Arc, United Methodist Family Services, Northstar Academy, and Amelia Street and other Richmond Public Schools. God’s provision made manifest.
